Yes, those are exhaust pipes.

This is stance done right. It is so beyond functional that I can now appreciate it. It is at least not even trying to be a functional or safe car anymore. Unless someone is dailying this thing, I can appreciate the glorious WTF of it.

Is that kid doing what I think he’s doing?

This. When stupid becomes crazy, I can usually get behind it.

...Are you sure he hasn’t just dumped the car on some L-shaped drain pipes and then placed the loose wheels in the wheel-wells?

I hope so.

The work to actually get it to move under its own power is just worth appreciating.

That’s exactly why he did it. I think it says in the piece that he wanted it to be as stupid as possible.

I need one of these in the UK.
The legal limit for minimum depth of the tread on your tyres is 1.6 millimetres, across the central ¾ of the tread around the complete circumference of the tyre . For safety reasons it is recommended that you replace your tyres before the legal limit is reached.
Fuck me you could wear down to the rims before affecting more than 1/4 of the tyre.

Which is fair enough, really, because it’s not like you’d be losing any significant amount of the no-grip-at-all you had to start with.

“Yo, is that your car?”
“Yep.”
“Well, some kid is taking a shit on your wheel.”

I can support that. Its transcended a shitty mod to become a caricature of the style.

As I see it, if it’s not intended to be a car, then it must be art - a sculpture of sorts. In that case it should be judged as such. And my opinion is... I don’t particularly like it. I don’t think it’s pretty, and I can’t see that it does anything that hasn’t been done before. I can sort of appreciate the workmanship, although even there I’m not convinced - for instance, I’m not sure why the exhaust cutout in the bumper hasn’t been filled out.
Sorry if I sound like a party pooper; you’re free to ignore me.

If its been transformed into a show car and not road use, its incomplete. Yeah its got some cool things going for it, but wheres the paint job?

That is exactly what it is, a sculpture of sorts. And I agree, I don’t particularly agree with the styling. But I am a glass half full kinda guy so I try to look at it with some sort of positive light. I cannot separate a car as a piece of art in the real world. To me, a car has to be driven. This is why show cars and garage queens bother me too.

Haha that is awesome, he definitely achieved that goal. I didn’t realize it was on purpose, now I like it even more.
